Tacos

This time we have a new entry, something the whole family can cook together and have fun doing it. Dad likes it just a touch sweeter, mom likes more kick to her chutney, and I like to keep it mild. It's for everyone by everyone. Welcome to Taco Night!

So, what do you need? Just some tortillas and veg, the great thing is you can chop and change as per what's available. It's easy, fun, and interactive that will get everyone talking and competing to make the best version.

Ingredients

  • Tortillas
  • Cabbage
  • Carrots/Beets
  • Raw Bananas
  • Green Bell Peppers
  • Cilantro/Coriander/Parsley
  • Yogurt
  • Green Chillies Reciepe

  • Grate carrot and beets into a nice slaw add salt and vinegar to pickle
  • Cut raw bananas into 2 cm thick pieces and boil in a pressure cooker till the whistle.
  • Take them out and then coat a pan with 1tsp of oil and roast the boiled bananas. This will give it a nice lovely chewy texture.
  • Chop cabbage and dress with soy sauce and a tsp of sesame oil.
  • Chop green bell peppers thinly and roast on high in a pan, get some char.
  • Yogurt, cilantro, lime, and chillies in a jar, blend to make an amazing green chutney.
  • Toast your tortillas.
  • Enjoy

Pro Tip: Feta, Cilantro, Corn kernels, and Hot Sauce make great garnishes that you can add on top.

Jackfruit is a great substitute for raw bananas, these two veg have the best slightly chewy roasty texture for tacos.
